How to choose the right grinding process flow

Let's talk about choosing the right grinding process. Grinding is the process of using machine power to grind cement. This process is actually a physical activation process, which means that the mill provides energy to the cement particles by using a liner plate, and the overall reaction area is greatly increased, ultimately generating a hydrated gel micron sized powder with high coagulation ability.

There are two forms of grinding process flow: open circuit and closed circuit. Closed circuit grinding has relatively high requirements for the surface area of cement particles, so when the screening residue control of cement out of the mill is not very good, open circuit grinding does not have much advantage in the initial stage. So it is best to choose a closed-loop grinding process, which can avoid over grinding and significantly improve overall production.

The control of materials entering the mill is also very important. The traditional ball mill dry grinding process has relatively low efficiency, but through pre grinding, cement production can be greatly increased, electricity consumption can be reduced, and energy conservation can be achieved. So it is necessary to use pre grinding technology to reduce the average particle size entering the mill. The moisture content of the input material, the output of the mill, and the power consumption are all closely related. If the moisture content is too high, it will affect the uniformity of feeding. If there is too much wet material, it is easy to form paste balls, reduce grinding efficiency, and in severe cases, even cause grinding interruption. So it is necessary to strengthen the control of moisture content in the grinding materials and develop comprehensive cement indicators. From the beginning, it is necessary to control the moisture content of the grinding materials, set up a dryer, strengthen the control of product quality, and establish sound control indicators to meet the moisture and process requirements of the specifications. Also, the ventilation measures of the grinder are also very important. It is necessary to block the air leakage, set up air lock valves, prevent air short circuits, and avoid air leakage in the exhaust duct. It is also necessary to adjust the relevant parameters of the grinder correctly to ensure the smooth flow of materials and improve the overall output.

There is one more thing to say. With the advancement of technology, pure ball mills with high production efficiency are widely used. However, this type of device consumes more energy. Especially after adding the pre grinding system, the original internal structure of the mill may not be designed reasonably. Because the material to be ground is actually semi-finished cement, it is necessary to adjust the grading scheme of the steel balls, reduce the diameter of the steel balls, increase the surface area of the steel balls, improve the grinding ability of the material, and thus enhance the overall efficiency of use. We need to improve the function of the coarse grinding chamber of the mill by utilizing the material pretreatment process before cement grinding. We will change the three chamber mill to a two chamber mill, reduce the length of the coarse grinding chamber, and increase the length of the two chamber fine grinding chamber to improve the grinding efficiency. In this way, the performance of cement can be significantly improved.
